I have named this Blog “ME-in-progress” with the permission of my husband to use the first letters of names M(irjam) & E(mmanuel). With this Blog, I intend to highlight our progress as children of God, as parents, and as a cross-cultural couple/ family, to encourage as many as possible on their life journey.
We met in YWAM (Youth With A Mission) and while God was speaking to each one of us, we both felt a strong calling for ministry together.
In the last 6,5 years of our marriage, we have served in different churches and christian organizations as worhip leaders, seminar and workshop facilitators, outreach coordinators, disciplers, mentors and in various other capacities to best serve the need on ground. As a social worker, I have had the privilege of leading a Christian youth house, served Refugees and together with my husband worked with a pioneering Team to plant a YWAM base in East-Germany.
Together, we are blessed with two fire brand, vibrant daughters ages 4 and 2.
Journaling has been my passion for many years, as it has been my way of processing thoughts, and reflecting on the things the Lord speaks to me. Then three years ago, I was inspired to start publishing.
I look forward to reading your comments, views or maybe even questions. You are welcome!
Life is about Progress, not Perfection!
